Pilot: single engine, multi-engine, CFI, A&P
Total Hours: 740+
Started Flying: 1974
Length of time wanting to do this: 35 years
Eagles Nest Aviation was started, one, because I like to Fly, and two, because I want to provide a way for people to fly cheaper. I do not have the best looking, or the most modern, or up to date airplane. It is a nice looking, great flying, and well maintained airplane. If you want to fly an airplane with a "glass cockpit", and you have lots of money, go for it. However, I believe that a person learning to fly, should really learn to fly, instead of relying on fancy gadgets. Don't take me wrong, there are some great avionics available, but when the avionics malfunction, a lot of people don't have a clue how to get home.
In time, I plan on adding more airplanes, and they will probably have some glass in the cockpit, but keep in mind, the more glass in the cockpit, the higher the cost will be per hour.
About the Airport
Eagles Nest Aviation Services, and the airplane, are based at the Plainwell Airport, located 2 miles north of the City of Plainwell, MI. The airport has an asphalt, and a grass runway available for takeoffs and landings. There are 3 resturants within walking distance. One is actually on the airport grounds, and has really good food.
